Mr. Isser has extensive experience in various types of complex civil litigation that included trials in both federal and state court.  

 

As an example, in 2001-2002, Mr. Isser represented Panos Eliades, and his promotion company, Panix, in a lawsuit against the boxer and heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis.  The case was tried before a jury in the United States Court of the Southern District of New York and involved claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and RICO violations. 

 

Mr. Isser also has conducted trials concerning claims for goods sold and delivered; whether a plaintiff was a partner in a real estate development company; and whether the majority shareholder of a corporation had diverted corporate funds to the detriment of the minority shareholder. In addition, Mr. Isser has represented numerous well-known clients in complex and high profile disputes.  They include:

  • Donald Trump and certain of his companies in a highly publicized arbitration against his then co-owner of the General Motors Building concerning ownership of the GM Building under the LLC Operating Agreement  

  • Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Inc. in a breach of contract action against singer/actor Michael Crawford 

  • Lowestfare.com (a Carl Icahn company) in a lawsuit against American Airlines concerning American Airlines’ purchase of TWA in bankruptcy and its rejection of TWA’s agreement with Lowestfare 

  • American Media, Inc. in a dispute against its insurance provider concerning coverage for damage caused to its headquarters in Boca Raton , Florida by anthrax 

  • A subcontractor in a highly publicized litigation concerning alleged construction defects in a building erected for Nassau Community College  

  • Avenue Magazine concerning the negotiation of an employment agreement.

 

Mr. Isser also has had considerable experience in a wide range of other litigation areas.  They include:
